The main way to determine whether or not your drive is likely to fail is how quickly this count increases. Pending sectors are a warning sign that your drive may experience some problems or failure. The pending sector count can go up/down depending on whether or not the drive can later successfully read data from the sector, or if the sector is bad it will become Reallocated Sectors Count and the pending count will decrease but the reallocated count will go up. Your Current Pending Sector Count is a warning about unstable sectors on your drive that are waiting to be remapped (reallocated) to spare space on the drive.īasically, your hard drive had trouble reading a sector of the drive and it is considering remapping the sector to one of the spare sectors. Sorry this is such a long post i think it needed ive tried to keep it to just need to know info.Yeah, your Current Pending Sector Count is the issue. they indeed will but without the stupid feet that seem to do nothing. i think swapping for no skids and a normal 2.5 inch drive would fit better but ive been told it wont fit. i have the skids that come on the original drive installed but they seem pointless. i feel like even though this was the intended drive size it doesnt fit snug as id like its a little small still.
